Britt Smith from the America's Car Museum met the Gateway Rotary Club on Wednesday, January 16. The 165,000 square foot facility in Tacoma, next to the Tacoma Dome, houses over 350 of the LeMay's car collection that at one time included over 3,500 automobiles. The facility includes a 3.5 acre show field, galleries, a banquet hall, meeting space, car storage, a cafe, and administrative offices. Cars are rotated through the display continuously and special shows appear regularly. Currently several cars from the Indianapolis 500 museum are on exhibit but will soon make way for a collection from NASCAR.

The American Car Museum, opened in June 2012, was created to preserve the history and celebrate the world's automobile culture.
