Mark your calendar - Volunteers are needed to help prep for the assembly of Thanksgiving Baskets. Please join us at the Lacey Food Bank, on Wednesday, November 17, at 6:00 pm to help to prep and bag "hardy produce" such as apples, potatoes, and onions.

Each year, the Thurston County Food Bank prepares and distributes more than 3,000 holiday meal boxes/ kits for families in need. The Thanksgiving meals include turkey or chicken, and all the ingredients for a traditional Thanksgiving meal including stuffing, potatoes, gravy, pies, and treats. The Food Bank needs our help to prep and bag "hardy produce" such as apples, potatoes, and onions.

We're looking for at least 20 volunteers to get this work done. No advanced training required to volunteer. This is a good volunteer event to bring teens to help. Food Bank Staff will be present to assist.

Let me know if you have any questions.
