Gateway is organizing two groups of volunteers to help the Thurston County Food Bank with their landscaping needs at their Lacey Farm Stand and Pantry!

Helping the Food Bank will enable them to get the Certificate of Occupancy permit for their new Food Pantry building next month. Get involved so you can help the Food Bank help others!

First shift (8 am to 10 am): lay landscape fabric down

Second shift from (10 am to 1 pm): place plants where fabric was laid

Wheelbarrows, large shovels, and rakes will be on hand. Please bring gloves, box knives, and hand shovels if you have them. Volunteers are encouraged to also wear water-resistant boots and clothes that you don't mind getting dirty!

Volunteers must wear masks and will be spread out to ensure safe social distancing (500 sq. feet between people). Bottled water and hand sanitizer will be available.

Use the link on the left to sign up for the first shift, second shift, or both shifts.

Reach out to Doug Mah or Megan Schoor with any questions.
